Joseph Pencile Harleston TAMPA, FL - Joseph Pencile Harleston, the youngest son of the late James Hoffman Harleston and Genevieve Bryan Harleston, was born on December 3, 1946 in Charleston, SC. Affectionately known as Joe or Joe Joe, he attended Burke High School and after graduation he enlisted in the Army, serving overseas in the Korean DMZ during the Vietnam Era. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 11:00 a.m. at Fielding Home for Funerals, 122 Logan Street, Charleston, SC 29401. Joseph is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara, his son, Joseph Pencile Harleston, Jr., his daughters, Tamara Jovenne Harleston, Marneece Nelvita Wheatly-Lubonski, son-in-law, Darin Cory Lubonski, two brothers, James Harleston (Josie) and Ronald Harleston (Cheryl), three sisters, Gloria Harleston-Fielding (Julius), Sylvia Harleston Gilliard (William) and Pamela Harleston-Moore, brother-in-law, Lawrence Robinson, eleven grandchildren, four great-grands and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
