Born in Floresville, Texas on September 2, 1932, passed on October 20, 2021. He is survived by his wife Diane Sandra Bayer and children Joseph Verne Bayer III, Cynthia Louise Wildman and Janell Bayer Wildman. Grandchildren Thomas Edward Wildman, Gabrielle Alexandria Wildman, Morgan Hayley Bayer, Katelynn Louise Mathews and Cassandra Grace Mathews.
Joseph, Joe (Pepik) as people know him, lived in San Antonio and eventually moved to League City, Texas in 1967.
Joe served in the US Air Force for 13 years. He also worked and retired at Johnson Space Center where he wrote training documents that were used to train the space shuttle astronauts. We all know that he loved sharing his stories about his life experiences. If you ever heard one of his stories, you couldn't help but get totally intrigued as to what he was going to say next.
There will be a memorial on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Forest Park East in Webster, Texas at 2 p.m.
