Joseph Vincent Agresta passed away March 28th with his loving children at his side, days shy of his 85 th birthday. A true renaissance man of many talents, hobbies, and interests, Joseph was a black belt in karate, a fitness enthusiast, a self-taught banjo player, a bread baker, and an avid landscape painter. Also a businessman and entrepreneur, he started Red Apple Transit bus company in Hoboken, NJ. He enjoyed many summer vacations and boating on the Great Sacandaga Lake - where there was always room at the inn - and yelling at the Yankees, win or lose. Joseph was born and raised in Hoboken by his beloved parents, Clorinda and Joseph, before meeting his late wife, Charlotte at Demarest High. Joseph and Charlotte raised six children in Little Ferry and were married for 63 years. He is survived by his children Joe and Carol Agresta, Tom and Doreen Agresta, Linda and James Pentifallo, Donna and James McIntyre, James and Ruby Agresta, and Lise and Michael Muccilo. 'Pop Pop Joe' was loved by his many grandchildren: Allyson, Joe, Cindi, Kimberly, Cari, Caitlin, Justine, Kristy, Dominick, James, Madison, Devin, and Isabella. He is predeceased by his granddaughter, Sandy Agresta. Joseph was great-grandfather to Ivan Shea, Shannon, MacIntyre, Cara, Claire, Owen, Nicholas, Adam, and Joseph.
