Jose Prudencio Avila, USMC Corporal Vietnam Veteran who was awarded the Bronze Star and saved 11 of his fellow soldiers in "Dodge City" Vietnam and retired 33 year BNSF Mechanic, age 73 of Harlingen, TX formerly of Chicago (Pilsen), IL. Beloved son of Timotea and the late Donaciano Avila, loving father of David (Malisa) Avila, Olivia (Concepcion) Villegas, Diana Avila and Samuel (Ivette) Avila, cherished grandfather of Cynthia, Isabel Villegas, Andrez Villegas, Malachi Avila, Alondra Avila, Talia Avila, Annalise Avila and great-grandfather of Estella Espinosa, dear brother of Maria (Alonso) Ramirez, Gilbert (Maria) Avila, Martha (Miguel) Corral, Rosemary (Ramon) Vargas, Daniel Avila, Donaciano (Lila) Avila, Jaime Avila and the late Felipe Avila, fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday December 7, 2020, 3:00pm to 9:00pm at Johnson-Nosek Funeral Home 3847 Prairie Avenue, Brookfield, IL.
