Jon Norman Palley, husband of Adrienne Stein Palley, died on June 30, 2021, at home. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on June 9, 1944, son of the late Louis and Frances (Klein) Palley. He had resided in Meriden, CT, for 45 years.
Mr. Palley was self-employed. He was a veteran, having served with the US Coast Guard Reserves as a 2nd Commandant and was a member of the Masons. Jon was a member and served on many committees at Temple B'Nai Abraham in Meriden, CT, for the past 45 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Julie and her husband Mark Danetz, his grandchildren, Leah Friedman (fianc?e Patrick Hosey), Alana Friedman, and Joshua Danetz (fianc?e Elizabeth Donnelly) as well as many nieces and nephews with whom he had an incredibly special relationship with. He was predeceased by his sisters, Carol Samuels and Reissa Weiss. He will be missed by so many who loved him, as he was a kind, giving, an amazing man who adored his family.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service to be held on Friday, July 2 at 1 p.m., at Congregation Adath Israel, 8 Broad St., Middletown, CT 06457. Burial will be in Temple B'Nai Abraham Cemetery, 114 Corrigan Ave., Meriden, CT. Should friends desire, contributions in his memory may be made to CT Chapter of NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness) 1030 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, CT 06110, and Simon Wiesenthal Center, 1399 South Roxbury Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90035. Shiva will be observed on Sunday and Monday between 12 and 3 p.m. as well as 5 and 7 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Julie, located at 4 Old Farm Rd., Wolcott, CT.
