Joie "Joe" Thomas Brown

Joie Thomas "Joe" Brown, Age 74, Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. He was the widower of Deborah Ann Brown, who preceded him in death on February 7, 2019.

Joe was born January 2, 1951 in Stanford, Kentucky and he is the son of Irene Pollard Brown and the late Joseph Walker "Jack" Brown. He loved the fellowship that he was able to enjoy while trading knives with family and friends and to help anyone in need. He truly enjoyed horseback riding. He greatly treasured his family and friends who he held dear to his heart. Joe Brown never met a stranger.

Mother, Irene C. Pollard Brown

One son, Joie Brown

One sister, Louise Godbey and Husband, Wayne

One Brother, Larry Brown and Wife, Susan

Four grandchildren

In addition to his dad, Jack Brown, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Ann Brown; one daughter, Teresa Brown Olson; one sister Judy Brown Taylor

Funeral service date and time: Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 2 PM at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel located at 147 Main Street, Crab Orchard, KY

Officiating Minister: Bro. Jamie Turner

Place of Burial: Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery

Visitation will be from 11 AM until 2 PM funeral service time on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel.
