Johnny Lee and Caroline G. BrookhardtMay 29, 2022Johnny Lee Bookhardt and Caroline G. Bookhardt passed away on May 29, 2022 due to a tragic accident. They nourished people around them with love, faith and wisdom, always giving generously for the encouragement of others. Johnny served honorably in the United States Army and retired from the New York Times. Caroline attended Strayer University and retired from Maritime Motors after many years of service. They will be remembered as bright, shining lights in their families, church and community. Their memories will be treasured by their daughter, Tradonna Mallard (Alfredo); son, Johnny L. Bookhardt (Darya); six adored grandchildren, Imani Mallard, India Mallard, Ayden Bookhardt, Aspen Bookhardt, Addison Bookhardt and Davante Mallard; beloved mother, Pearl Lewis Greene; their siblings, Delores Smith, Clara Butler (Walter), Mary Alice Moore, Arthur Bookhardt (Dean), Nathaniel Bookhardt (Gennifer) and Hazel Bookhardt and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. They were predeceased by their parents, Eugene and Bertha Lee Bookhardt and Leon Greene, siblings; David Bookhardt and Patricia Greene-Kessler. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 17 West Ave., Norwalk, CT. with Rev. Dr. Lindsay E. Curtis officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk. Services entrusted to Graves Medley Funeral Services.
