October 16, 1939 - December 1, 2021, 82 years old
Born in Clintwood, VA to John & Mildred Bukovich.
Johnnie (aka Peaches) was a kind, gentle, fun loving person, who never met a stranger. She loved her family and truly devoted her life to them. She enjoyed reading, a good TV show, Movies at the Theater and any activity that involved her kids or grandkids. She also loved cooking and family meals and made biscuits and gravy from scratch for family, the week before her passing. Her kitchen was never quiet, filled with her talking or humming.
Johnnie lived a humble childhood, that included residence in Hampton on the coast of Virginia and Clintwood in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. She relished her relationship with her Brother Fuzzy, Grandmother, Aunts, Uncles and many Cousins.
Johnnie graduated from Hampton High School and enjoyed a brief time at Lincoln Memorial University. She returned to Clintwood, and attended classes at Clinch Valley College, where she met the love of her life, Jackie Wayne Robinson.
They married in 1961 and lived in Northern Virginia and Johnson City Tennessee, before ultimately finding their home in Lancaster South Carolina in 1972, where she lived until her passing. Johnnie was a stay at home mom for many years. Once her children reached later elementary school, she showed her caring nature for others be serving as a Teaching Assistant in various Lancaster County schools for 20 years.
She spent many years as a member of the Good Shepard Methodist Church and more recently joined Grace Presbyterian Church, both in Lancaster.
Johnnie is survived by her loving brother, Fuzzy Bukovich of Hampton, VA; daughter, Paula English and husband Sam of Greenville, SC; son John Robinson and wife Beth of Charlotte, NC and three grandchildren that she truly adored, Matthew English and Logan & Haley Robinson.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Robinson and her parents, John and Mildred Bukovich.
