John William Pearson, age 81, passed away suddenly from a heart attack in a Missouri hospital on July 21, 2021. He was born in Woodward, OK on February 4, 1940 and known as JW. He joined the US Army in 1958 that brought him to Kingston, WA where he was given a new nickname, Big John (6undefined6undefined). Thatundefineds where he met his first wife, Marilynn Mathisen Pearson, and were married for 54 years up to her passing April 13, 2014. He married his 2nd wife, Heidi Spivey Pearson, on December 28, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Loretta Pearson; wife, Marilynn Pearson; sister, Ginger Owens; and granddaughter, Jamie Lee Ellis. John is survived by his wife, Heidi Spivey Pearson; sister, Ronda Holley (David); son, James Pearson (Elaine); daughters, Catharine Ellis (Wayne), Cynthia Nichols (Tommy), Kimberly Kauk (Matt) and foster daughter Amy Marshall (Jason); 14 grandkids and 7 great grandkids. John worked at Boeing for 34 years along with many side jobs to support his large family. A very hard worker! He was very well known in Snohomish, WA as he coached girl basketball and softball for many years, a hard coach at that, along with supporting all of his kids in sports through school. His hobbies included; country western dancing, two-stepping, teaching this to anyone that was willing to learn, gardening, cooking, hunting, fishing, traveling and most importantly spending time with his large family. As his grandkids would run around on the property during a family gathering, he would say, undefinedlook at all the seeds I createdundefined. He will be missed and the family will always hold on too many memories. We will have a private celebration of life per his request.
