John J Tighe Jr. born February 4, 1935, in West New York, NJ to John and Edna Tighe passed away January 26th, 2023, in Hobe Sound, Florida. John aka "Smiling Jack," "Jetty Jack," and most recently "Singing Jack," attended St. Joseph's Catholic High School where he captained both the football and basketball teams. Jack went on to Montclair University where he was captain of the football team and president of his fraternity. He obtained his Master's in Education from Seton Hall University and was head football coach, teacher and principal at Ocean Township High School in Ocean NJ for a span of over 30 years.
Jack's later years were spent in Bethany Beach DE & Hobe Sound Fl where family remained the center of his life until he passed. Jack is survived by his wife of 65 years, Camille Spino Tighe of Hobe Sound Fl, three daughters: Susan Tighe Taylor & John of Daufuskie Island SC, Jennifer Tighe Parigian & Thomas of Ocean NJ and Jacqueline Tighe Menzione & Vincent of Jupiter, Fl. Seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
