John David Stout died unexpectedly Monday, July 26, in Columbus, OH. Born on February 1949, to John P. Stout and his wife Nancy (n?e Fugitt) in Ostrander, OH, where he spent many summer days with his mom's parents in the country. David's dad moved the family to Delaware, after which his dad took a new job with Ohio Edison in the Akron area. In 1967 David graduated from Cuyahoga Falls HS. After earning a degree from The Ohio State University, he married his CFHS sweetheart, Deborah K (n?e Andrick) in August 1971. They moved to Cambridge, OH the next day; he lived there till his passing. In 1977 David earned his Master's in Educational Media at Kent State University. During his 35-year career at Cambridge HS he was a teacher, advisor, quiz team coach, librarian and teacher union (CEA) leader, beloved by many. David's life centered on family, church, books, travel, his career and the people he served and loved. He is survived by his wife Deborah, son Seth, daughter Sarah and granddaughter Ava; brother Roger (Mary) Stout, brother Jim (Denise) Stout, niece Charlotte and nephew Jason; and Aunt Nancy Jewett and Uncle Don (Donna) Stout. Calling hours will be Friday, August 6, at Bundy-Law Funeral Home in Cambridge, OH from 4-7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial donations to Cambridge First Christian Church, where David's funeral will be held Saturday at 11am, 1127 Beatty Ave, 43725.
