John Peacock

John Bennett Peacock "Benny", 78, of Sheldon, IA, formerly of Severance, CO, passed away at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD on May 24, 2019 with his wife by his side.

John was raised in the Denver area and graduated from West High. He was an electrician in the IBEW Local Union 68 for 43 years. Through his years he lead many projects and was "the man to go to". He was married to his first wife, Carol, from 1962 to 1988. During their marriage, they had three children, Kimberly, Laurie, and Kirk. He met his loving wife, Denise, in 2000. They married in 2002 and lived a wonderful life together. Through this marriage, he gained the love and respect of two more children, Melanie and Marissa. John enjoyed spending his free time golfing and helping others whenever he could. He touched more lives than we can count with his generous and caring nature.

John is survived by his wife, Denise; daughter, Kimberly (Frosty) Bortz; daughter, Laurie Garrett Peacock; son, Kirk (Emmalee) Peacock; daughter, Melanie (Charlie) Luark; daughter, Marissa (Shawn) Farmer; eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, four nieces and one nephew.

Preceded in death by his mother, Catherine; sister, Kit; and one great-grandson, Braden.
