John C. Parker
Super Good and Getting Better!
John C. Parker, 75, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at his home after an extended illness. He was born July 8, 1943 in Bloomington IL to the late Elbert C. and Anna M. (Iliff) Parker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Arlene (Kopp) Parker as well as daughters Kimberly (Bradley) Ulick and Amy (Nathan) Norton, four grandchildren, and a sister Patricia (Jim) Werner. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Clyde, Donald, and Thomas Parker, and a sister Barbara Tuntland. John will be remembered for his smile and always being super good and getting better.
John served in the US Air Force as a missile control specialist. He later worked for ATT/NCR in network and computer maintenance. He was active in Heritage Church for over 30 years and was known for his smile and always being super good and getting better. He enjoyed wood working and most of all spending time with his loving family.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elkhart. A memorial service is being planned for Memorial Day weekend at Heritage Church in Rock Island IL with burial at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery.
