Hillsboro ---- John William Miner, Sr., 70, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021, surrounded by family.
John was born February 17, 1951, in Nashua, NH, son of the late Robert and Esther (Labombarde) Miner. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. John worked for many years at the Nashua Airport, refinishing aircraft.
John was an entertainer who loved to sing and play the spoons. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cribbage, and running bingo for his friends, but above all, spending time with his children and grandchildren. John was affectionately known by several other names given to him by those closest to him, including; Johnny Rango, Papa, Papa Rango, J-Blast, Old Man, and Champion of the World.
John is survived by his loving children: his son, John W. Miner, Jr. and his wife, Jessica; his daughter, Amy Miner, and Randy Gagne, all of Hopkinton; four cherished grandchildren: Daniel and Elise Miner, and Porter and Carlie Tomsick. He is predeceased by brothers Robert, Roy, and Roland Miner; he is survived by brother, Bruce, and sisters, Peggy Larocque and Lisa Hicks, along with many close cousins, nieces, and nephews. John will be dearly missed by all. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
