John Dudley Mincher, 65, of Florissant, Missouri, lost his battle with cancer on June 7, 2022.
Beloved father of Meagan L. Cross (James), Amber E. Huber (Andy), Kaela R. Shapiro (Mike), Justin D. Mincher, Ethan A. Ruch, Dakota L. Edmonds and Dalton L. Edmonds. Loving Grandfather of Mackenzie, Wyatt, Colton, Trent, Eli, Vivian and Sophia. Brother of Carol A. Hahn (Tony), Sharon L. Nigus (Monty), Braun A. Mincher (Teri), Brandon “Brandy” J. Ferner (Matt) and the late Bonnie J. Booth (Steve); son of John Jackson “Jack” Mincher (Barbara), and the late Bettye Alice England-Mincher; uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.
John was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a very active member of his church, the Joshua House and was a proud supporter of The Faithful Few. He loved this family and friends fiercely, and never went a day without speaking to as many of them as possible. He loved reading, beating others at scrabble, westerns, hunting, garage sales, auctions, motorcycles, classic cars, hot rods, Pepsi-Cola, Christmas, Hallmark Movies (he was such a softy), guitars, shooting pool, and listening to his record collection while sipping on an Amaretto Sour. His favorite time spent though, was surrounded with friends and family chatting, telling old stories and laughing away, especially his grandbabies! He conducted himself with unabashed faith, unending humor, and a zest to live his life to the fullest no matter what challenges crossed his path with perpetual optimism and a smile on his face.
