John William Miller , 88 Jul 8, 1932 - Feb 11, 2021 John "Jack" William Miller, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Thursday, February 11, 2021, at the Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. Born Friday, July 8, 1932 in Lonaconing, MD, he was the son of the late John D. Miller and the late Winona (Koontz) Miller. Jack graduated from Central High School in Lonaconing, MD in 1950 and later graduated from Frostburg State Teachers College. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army from 1952 to 1954. Jack was employed for 25 years as a Special Agent with the FBI. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Hagerstown 217, where he was a Master Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. Jack was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and of the Funkstown American Legion Post 211. Jack was an avid golfer, spent hours woodworking in his basement shop, and was an accomplished chess player. Jack married his high school sweetheart, "Mo", in 1956. From their first date, Jack remained utterly devoted to Mo through high school, college, family, and career. Following his retirement, Jack and Mo were blessed to enjoy many wonderful days together at home and while travelling to new places. Jack is survived by his wife, Mildred Ann "Mo" Miller. Mo is a resident of Williamsport Retirement Village. Jack is also survived by his daughters, Susan B. Miller, Gaithersburg, MD and Anne D. Pile, Hagerstown, MD and son, Eric S. Miller, Westminster, MD. He leaves four grandchildren, Alex R. Miller, Frederick, MD; Kyle H. Snodderly, Mercersburg, PA; Paige S. Miller, Chambersburg, PA; Austin A. Miller, Annapolis, MD and four great-grandchildren, Otto H. Snodderly, Sydney R. Miller, Hannah M. Miller, and Zoe P. Miller. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital, https://scottishriteforchildren.org/. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Douglas A.
