John had a lot of friends from all over, so we, his family, have set up this memorial page for him. Please add your photos and memories.
Updated with funeral details:
John’s funeral will be on Friday 15th Dec, at 11:00 am, at Barton Woodland Burial Ground, and after at the White Horse Inn in Barton. Please wear comfortable and colourful clothing - John was not into formality, but was always ready to dress up. Also dress warm! We will be walking on a gravel track to the graveside, so wear shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy.

We have really enjoyed your comments and photos so far. Please continue to contribute.
John was allergic to anything with pollen, so instead of flowers we suggest a contribution to the Arthur Rank Hospice https://www.arhc.org.uk/ , or Macmillan https://www.macmillan.org.uk/donate , or the British Heart Foundation https://www.bhf.org.uk/how-you-can-help/donate/your-donation/get-started , or another charity of your choosing. Or something without actual flowers!
It would be helpful if you could let us know if you can come, but no worries if you just turn up! Look for Joanna Wexler on facebook if we are not already in contact another way.
The location of the burial ground is:
postcode CB23 7BA. Bus number 18 from Cambridge Drummer Street stops outside. For those driving, it’s very close to junction 12 of the M11. Here’s the URL of the organisation that runs it: https://www.arborytrust.org/glebe-layout
The pub is the White Horse Inn, Barton. There’s plenty of parking. Also a couple of rooms, for those travelling further. https://www.thewhitehorseinnbarton.co.uk/ The wake will be in a private room with an open fire, so we will all be able to get warmed up again!

He enjoyed spending time with his family, immediate and extended. And his family of friends from all over.
We, his family, would love to see your photos and memories here.
We will update this page when we know the funeral arrangements - please look again later.
