On Monday, December 21, 2020, John "Mac" McLain Ledbetter, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away at the age of 56 due to the coronavirus.
John was born on January 14, 1964 in Kansas City, MO. He grew up in Hudson, OH and was a 1982 graduate of Western Reserve Academy. He then attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY and the University of Akron, where he studied computers and technology. He then went on to work for Alside, a division of Associated Materials, and resided in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. John loved technology and had a passion for computers. He enjoyed gaming of all kinds. Those close to him knew that he was a Sci-fi enthusiast. He had a fondness for shows like Dr. Who, Buffy and Firefly, and collected related memorabilia. John was loved by many and cherished his friends and family. He was known for his quick wit, infectious laugh and ability to make others smile.
He is survived by his parents, John and Nancy Ledbetter, his sister Amy Lindas, and his nephew, C.J. Wilkerson. Due to the pandemic, no funeral services will be held.
