John F. Lampe, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2021.
Born in Akron on June 11, 1929, he was a life resident of Randolph, graduating from Randolph High School in 1948. John retired from General Tire after 28 years of service. A devout Catholic, he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. John enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and bowling. He was active in both coaching and participating in sports, and was a huge Notre Dame fan. Above all, John was a loving husband and great father, and enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
Preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Mary; brothers, Bill, Joseph and Ed; and sister, Jean, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ann; sons, Joe (Gina) and John; daughters, Julianne (Ron) and Joanne; grandchildren, Dominique Lampe, DJ and Garrett Hickle, Natasha Lampe and Brandon Redfield; great-granddaughter, Jocelyne Lampe; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Due to current restrictions, private services are being held with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorials to St. Joseph School, 2617 Waterloo Road, Mogadore, OH 44260.
