John M Jilek

John M. Jilek, 62, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at UW Madison hospital. He was born October 20, 1960, in Rice Lake, WI, the son of John and Kathryn (Murphy) Jilek, graduated Winnebago High School class of 1978, and later served in the United States Air Force.

John had numerous jobs through his adult life but always loved being outdoors hunting and fishing in Northern Wisconsin.

Survivors include a sister, Libby (Lon) Myers of Rock City, IL; brother, Jeff (Kathy) Jilek of Machesney Park, IL; nieces and nephews: Ashley Jilek and Megan (Jesus) Hernandez, Gregg Jilek, and Helen and Carrie Myers; in addition to great nieces and nephews, along with extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Ed Jilek, and his parents.

Services will be arranged at a later date and memorial yet to be determined. Arrangements have been made at the Cremation society of Madison.
