John Jasinski of Cambridge passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He was 91.
He was born on January 9, 1930 in Debica, Poland the son of the late Joseph Jasiniski and Anna Zawadzki Jasinski.
He enlisted in the United States Army which spanned a life-long career of service. During his tenure, he served in the Korean War, Vietnam, and was later stationed in Japan, Hawaii and Germany. Following his retirement, he was a police officer for the Town of Federalsburg for several years. He was active in the American Legion Post #91 and the V.F.W. Post 7460 both in Cambridge. He was an avid stamp collector. Above all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Lois Jasinski of Cambridge, six children: Brenda Desell and her husband William, Bruce Bryant, Paul Bryant all of Cambridge, and Robert Bryant of Montross, VA, John Jasinski and Michael Jasinski both of New York; seven grandchildren: Jason Bryant and his wife Samantha, Justin Lowery, Lori Bryant, Stacy Baull and her husband Jason, John Killian and his husband Matthew, Lois Elliott and Carrie Ashby; five great grandchildren Kyleigh Greive, Scotty Meekins, Logan Meekins, Trinity Meekins and Kara Cook.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Edwin Jasinski, and two step-daughters: Nancy Bryant and Carolyn Ashby.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 3:00 to 5:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg.
Interment will be private at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Beulah.
