John (Jack) Thomas Wyand of Sarasota, FL passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2022 at Doctors Hospital in Sarasota. He was born on July 9, 1930. He was a graduate of East Liverpool, OH and received his Masters Degree in Business from Ohio University in Athens, OH.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. When he was stationed at Brunswick, ME he met the love of his life, Pauline C. McDuff. They were married for 66 wonderful years.
John was so proud of his four children and his two grandchildren. Joyce E. Wyand and her partner, Cindy Gagnon of Benton, ME, Mark S. Wyand of Raleigh, NC, Jeff T. Wyand and his wife, Debbie of Huntington, MA, and their two children, Jonathan T. Wyand of Davenport, FL and Lily J. Wyand of Allston, MA with her partner, Brennan Foley, and Karen E. Wyand of Biddeford, ME.
John enjoyed making model ships, loved to travel and visit the National Parks as well as spending summers in Maine. He loved the beach and telling stories of his past adventures.
Mass will be celebrated at St. Jude Catholic Church in Sarasota, FL on Tuesday April 26, 2022 at 10:30 AM.
Internment will be decided at a future date at Sarasota National Cemetery.
