John W. Heard, 78 of Canton, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, April 21st from 6-8pm at Darby Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, April 22nd at 2pm at Canton First United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Sutton and Rev. Frank Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment will be at Cherokee Memorial Park. He is survived by:Daughter - Alesia Steele of CantonSon - Steven (Amy) Heard of Spring Hill, TN.Sister - Dorothy Ann Heard of WoodstockBrother - Marvin Heard of DunwoodyGrandchildren - Taron Murray, Janai Bowen, Joi Steele, and Christopher Heard4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren also survive.The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is honored to serve the Heard family.
