John Leslie Hall, 91, entered into his heavenly reward on Saturday, December 18, 2021. He was born to Leslie E. and Josephine Hall in Port Arthur, Texas on October 12, 1930.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 22, at Watson Chapel Methodist Church with burial at Watson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
John grew up an only child on the family farm near Bleakwood and raised his own family there. In 1977, he moved near the crossroads of Bleakwood. He attended Bleakwood and Kirbyville schools and graduated from Texas A&M in 1952. He served at Ft. Hood and in Germany in the U.S. Army.
John married his childhood sweetheart, Nettie Lee McBride, on June 25, 1952. She passed away in 2016 and they are survived by their six children, Gene and Ernette Hall of Waco, Sue and Nubbin Stanton of Call, Bruce Hall of Lindale, Nancy and Harold Kelley of Kirbyville, Sally and Danny Ramsey of Kountze and Kay and Ray Wallage of Lumberton. Also surviving are many generations of grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
