John (Jack) Vincent Gero, born October 22, 1941 Pittsfield, MA to Anne and William Gero passed away suddenly June 25, 2021 while on a fishing trip to Lake Champlain.
Jack spent his early years in Pittsfield, graduated from Saint Joseph's High School and Vesper George School of Commercial Art in Boston. He worked part and full time for the local cable company and spent most of his down time hunting and fishing with his brothers and friends. In 1968 he met and married Susan Jane Trudeau on November 23rd. Their daughter Christina Lee was born three years later.
He spent many years in Vermont until 2012 when he moved from his home in Pownal to join his daughter in Wrentham, MA.
He leaves behind in addition to a loving daughter, two granddaughters: Kaitlyn Ann, and Gabrielle Marie, a great grandson, Luca Paul, two living siblings: Theresa (Gero) Delphia and Lawrence Gero and five deceased siblings: Thomas, Richard, Joan (Munger), Francis, and James.
Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wrentham, MA at 11:00 am on July 9, 2021. After services those who wish may join family for a light lunch at 420 Thurston St., Wrentham, MA.
