John Lewis Ford was born to Coy and Irene Ford on February 4, 1939. John went to his Heavenly home on July 26, 2021. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from New Deal High School in 1957. After graduation he married his high school sweetheart, Jonnie Looney, and began farming with his dad Coy. After many years of farming, he began a second career of being a bus driver. He enjoyed being a TNM&O bus driver. He loved all the adventures he had and sharing his faith and witnessing to all those he drove wherever they were going. John's bus driving career was cut short by macular degeneration and he became homebound. He loved listening to Christian and Gospel music on the radio. He had always been a prayer warrior but became an even stronger one in his later years. He loved fishing, hunting, water-sking, and camping. He loved jokes and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was very active in his church, filling many roles; his favorite being involved with the youth on Wednesdays. He loved his family, but most of all, he loved his Lord and Savior.
He is survived by his wife, Jonnie, daughter Brenda and Larry Bryan of Hale Center, son Tim and Dana Ford of New Deal, son Brad Ford of Lubbock, and daughter Abigail and Simon Ramford of Lamesa; his pride and joy being his grandchildren Kelsey Bryan of Canadian, Travis Bryan of Gruver, Justis and Austin Ramford of Lamesa.
