John O. Dyer

John O Dyer of Loganville, GA passed away on 02-05-2025 after a well fought battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Norma Jean Dyer, sons Richard E Dyer of Gastonia, NC, H. Keith Dyer of Rock Hill, SC and John E Dyer of Charlotte, NC. as well as 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also has several relatives residing in upstate NY. He was predeceased by his father, John R Dyer of Centerville and mother, Agnes Neff Dyer, also of Centerville. Mr. Dyer was a graduate of Harpursville Central School as is his surviving wife, the former Jean Craig. Mr. Dyer studied at several colleges and universities with degrees from Broom Tech, Oakland Community College and New York Institute of Technology. Mr. Dyer spent 10 years working in Quality Control as an Analyst at Bendix Scintilla in Sidney, Quality Engineer and Manager before embarking on a 30+ year career in Sales and Marketing for several automotive and aerospace suppliers. He retired in 2002 as North American Marketing Manager for a Long Island based manufacturer. His work and personal travel took him to 49 of the 50 states & more than a dozen countries in North and Central America, Europe & Asia. An avid flyer and restorer, Mr. Dyer owned, restored and flew several planes & restored many cars during his lifetime.
