John “Jack” R. Dillon, III passed away peacefully on June 5, 2022 at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. Born in Camden to John R. And Cecilia M. Dillon, John was 74 years old. He was a resident of Moorestown for the last 24 years and formerly lived in Merchantville & Pennsauken.
Adorable husband of 51 years to Marion D. (nee Max) Dillon. Loving father of John (Laura) Dillon IV and Brian (Melissa) Dillon. Cherished Pop Pop to Patrick, Ryan, Kayla and Krista. Dear brother of Michael L. (Marie) Dillon, Carol M. (Matthew) Berghof and the late James M. (Christine) Dillon. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Jack proudly served his country in the US Army National Guard during the Vietnam War (1970-1976).
Jack was 1st Vice President Financial Advisor for Morgan Stanley in Mt. Laurel.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, Notre Dame Football, playing & watching golf, attending the movies, reading and US History. He was actively involved with the Camden County College Foundation, coaching football with Pennsauken Youth Athletics Association and Bishop Eustace.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Givnish of Marlton 398 East Main Street. Jack’s funeral mass will follow 11 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church, Marlton. Entombment with military honors will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
