
John William Caudle
“I am the richest man in the world because I have a wonderful family who loves me.”
Mr. John William Caudle, 75, of Belmont, entered Heaven smiling on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Charlotte, a son of the late E.D. and Edna Caroline Seegers Caudle.
John worked as a professional 18 wheel truck driver and during his career, logged two million miles without an accident! He retired from A.G. Boone with 30 years of service. He also worked with a talent agency for 14 years as a professional Santa, performing at private parties, country clubs, and the Epicenter. John was an avid leatherworker and made and delivered a special commemorative item to his favorite NASCAR driver, Bill Elliott. He also loved baseball and the NY Yankees, football and the Washington Redskins and Carolina Panthers.
John was a man of deep faith in Jesus Christ, who deeply loved, and fiercely protected his family.
Mr. Caudle is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Brenda Plummer Caudle; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Art Hastings of Cramerton, NC; Amanda and David Shellenbarger of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Kyle and Alec Hastings; Dylan and Zoe Shellenbarger; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
A service to celebrate John’s life will be privately held for his family.
