How do you know John? Please share your stories and photos, and help spread the word about this page!
John Yuill Bremner left us on March 7th to be with our Lord. To describe him in one word it would be 'Jolly' - he was the happiest man alive. Always smiling and always there to lend a hand. Born in Airdrie, Scotland, he came to the states with his folks and sisters when he was a wee lad of 9 years.
His interesting life led him to join the Army Air Corp proudly serving in the 43rd Army Air Service Squadron as a Belly Gunner. He also was a trumpet player for the Salvation Army. His 44 years with Skil Power Tools is where our family learned the meaning of dedication. John's truest claim to fame was marrying the woman of his dreams and for 73 years growing old together.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores 'Dee' Bremner, his parents, his two sisters and his grandson, Bobby Slater, as well as many treasured friends, colleagues and golf buddies.
He is survived by his sons, Jim Bremner (Alice), John Bremner (Kelly), his daughters, Jackie Lastowski and Janet Rucker (Keith), 6 grandchilden; Ryan Bremner, John Bremner, James Bremner, Jodee Rucker, Jamee Rucker (Megan), Jackie Bremner and 3 great grandkids, Tea Bremner, Rex Rucker and Bobby Slater. In lieu of flowers, donations to Disabled Veterans National Foundation or Alzheimer's Foundation in his honor would be appreciated.
