John Robert Braboy Jr. 75, of Amarillo passed away on June 2, 2022. A celebration of Life will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 at 10 am at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Corona officiating. Services are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
John was born January 4, 1947 in Wichita Falls, Texas to JR and Mary Braboy. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1964. He attended University of Texas in Arlington graduating from WT with a degree in accounting. Later returning to receive a degree in Mortuary Science from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. This is where he found his true passion. He was the President of Mid-America College where he taught Restorative Art. He was a very smart, well spoken, meticulous man. In his free time, he enjoyed trap shooting and working on model railroading, but spending time with his family was very important to him. John was an avid animal lover, he was a special man who will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Ashley Rogers and spouse Kent; Tahnia Slate; John Braboy III and spouse Jacqueline and Mary Kaitlyn Braboy and spouse Amber Butler. He is also survived by seven wonderful grandchildren, as well as the mothers of his children, Sherie Faulkner and Rebecca Braboy.
