J. Kevin Blache, 71, of Lee, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Thursday evening at Berkshire Medical Center.
Kevin was born September 12, 1949, the son of the late John E. and Josephine Tolvo Blache. He was raised and educated in Lee, graduating from Lee High School, Class of 1967.
Kevin received his bachelor's degree in Political Science from St. Anselm College in 1971. He worked for many years at Berkshire Corporation in Great Barrington as a Quality Control Technician while also bartending at The Lee Men's Club. In addition, he worked at Kimberly Clark Corporation in Lee and was a Rural Route Postman for the Post Office. Through retirement Kevin was the Club House Manager at Wyantenuck Country Club in Great Barrington. Kevin was a sports enthusiast; especially important to him were his beloved Celtics, Raiders and Orioles. Kevin loved to play and watch golf. He was also an avid bowler. He loved to hop in his car and take off for a long drive listening to music. And of course, Kevin always looked forward to his time spent with his children and grandchildren, he especially enjoyed watching Santino play sports.
Those left behind to cherish Kevin's memory are his son, Jarrod; his daughter, Sharra; his three grandchildren: Santino Herring, Prestyn Woodard and Ryleigh Blache; and his two brothers: Jeffrey and his wife Debbie and Gerard and his wife Colleen.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 4PM until 6PM at Kelly Funeral Home in Lee.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Lee High Grid Iron Club in care of the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
Face masks and social distancing will be required for the Visiting Hours. We ask that people enter through the Main Street entrance in the front of the building and exit through our parking lot door.
