Surrounded by his family, John Allen Bearfield peacefully went home to be with his Lord with a song of praise on his lips on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. He was born on January 22, 1930 at his home in the San Angelo area to John Samuel and Vada (Jones) Bearfield. John graduated from San Angelo Senior High School in 1948: he later went on to obtain a Construction Trades Teaching Certification from Texas A&M/ Commerce. He worked for Terrill Manufacturing Construction Company, Coca-Cola Company: he then owned and operated his own company Fine Craft Woodmill, where he installed multiple cabinetry throughout San Angelo. He then taught at Lincoln Jr. High and Lakeview High School as a Construction Trades Vocational Teacher where he shared his knowledge to help mold future students for the construction trade. After retiring from the school system he enjoyed traveling throughout the US. He was an avid golfer and bowler with his bowling league at Stadium Lanes and enjoyed square dancing. He served as a deacon at numerous churches where he also repaired homes and churches on mission trips. Most recently he attended Glen Meadows Baptist Church. John was preceded in death by his first wife Dixie Ruth (Kearney) Bearfield; second wife Norma Alberts; third wife Cleta Post and sisters Tabitha, Violet and Laura. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Dorene (Harmon) Mashburn Bearfield; daughters Debbie Kilgore, Marsha Bearfield, Beverly Singleton, Patricia Haynes (Mark) and Brenda Oser (Chris); 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021 in Fairmount Cemetery.
