John Elia Arru, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend unexpectedly passed away on March 16th 2022 at the age of 46. John was an expert carpenter, who had a natural talent for home renovation and design. John loved the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family, especially his nephews. John also loved all animals, especially his dog Penny. He is survived by his parents John and Licia Arru, his sister Cristina Galipeau, brother Tony Arru, Sister-in-law Kerry Arru, nephews Nathan and Jacob. Also his Zia Francesca, Zio Teclo as well as aunts and uncles in Italy. John is also survived by numerous cousins. Although John had fought his own personal battles it never overshadowed his huge heart in putting others first and always lending a helping hand. He was loved by all and will be truly missed. A funeral mass will be held Monday, March 21 at 11am at St. Gregory Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol. Guests attending the funeral mass are asked to please meet the family at church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, March 20, from 4-6pm at DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol.
