COLUMBIA, SC - A funeral service for John Anthony Norcia, 84, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial alongside his wife, Linda, in St. David Episcopal Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Norcia died Sunday, February 27, 2022. Born in Canton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Anthony Norcia and Lucille Angelina Jannelli Norcia. He was a 1955 graduate of Lehman High School in Canton, Ohio. John owned and operated Auto Electric Service Company in Canton, Ohio up until 2003. He founded Ram Automotive Company (Ram Clutches) in 1972, relocated it to Columbia, SC in 1983, working with his sons, Michael and Patrick, who continue to operate the business. He was an avid collector and restorer of cars. John was a licensed pilot who enjoyed flying his Cessna. He also enjoyed boating, golfing, and running, but his favorite thing was spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Surviving are his sons, Michael David Norcia (Robin) of Blythewood, SC, and John Patrick Norcia (Julia) of Lexington, SC; daughter, Kristen Kay St. Pierre (David) of Rocky River, OH; grandchildren, Michael Anthony Norcia, Amanda B. Norcia, Kyle Patrick Norcia (Elizabeth Renea), Peyton M. Norcia, John Byron St. Pierre, Emily Kay St. Pierre, and William David St. Pierre; stepgrandchildren, Chelsea Wessinger and Hannah Early; and brother, David L. Norcia (Marie) of Massillon, OH.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased his wife, Linda Kay Kraft Norcia, and his brother, Edward J. Norcia.
