John Alfred Simmons was born to Isham and Nancy Simmons in 1813 in Monroe, Kentucky. He married Nancy Simmons around 1929 in Monroe, Kentucky; to which he had between 5-11 children.
John Alf was a farmer all his life and served in the Civil War, and he died in Missouri City, Texas in March, 1870 & is buried in Harmony Church Cemetery.
