Joe Ed Sullivan, 91, of Plainview passed away on April 28, 2021. A private service will be held under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
Joe Ed was born February 17, 1930 in Bledsoe, Texas to Albert Edgar and Thelma Sullivan. He grew up in Morton, Texas and attended school there, he went to Sam Houston State College then to Texas Tech University where he received his master's degree. He married Wanda Williams on September 5, 1954 in Morton, TX. Joe Ed served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He served in the Insurance industry as a manager with Farm Bureau for many years. He was a Master Mason in Masonic Lodge #709. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church.
Joe Ed was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Tommy Sullivan; sisters, Vera Truett, Bonnie Gandy, Billie Ann Carothers and Joyce Hoffman.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Sullivan of Plainview; his sons, Joe Dennis Sullivan of Honolulu, HI and Stephen Mark Sullivan of Lubbock; his daughter, Dawn DeAnn Hoffman of Denver, CO; his sister, Rachael Doyle of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren, Christopher Wilmeth of Richmond, VA, Lyndsey Hoffman of Denver, CO, and Colbey Hoffman of College Station, TX.
