Joe Barnard Maples, age 80 of New Tazewell, TN passed away August 22nd, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Joe was an avid farmer, and done so for almost his entire life. He joins in heaven his father and mother Wade and Roxie Maples, father and mother-in-law Ed and Thena Atkins, brothers Dean, Lee Ed, Bob, Don, and Fleet Maples, and his oldest son Eddie Maples. Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 60 years Della Maples. His brothers and sisters Carl (Deanna) Maples, Cinda Russell, Mike (Betsy) Maples, and Virginia (WT) Williams. Son and daughter-in-law Dale and Connie Maples. Grandchildren Nikki and Elijah Earl, Heather and Jamie Sutton, Joshua and Samantha Maples, Jaclyn Maples and Josh Phipps, and Gina Healey. Great grandchildren Macey Earl, Pierce and Keelan Sutton, and Jarrett Maples. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. The family will have a private viewing on Tuesday, August 24th with a memorial at a later date. Coffey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
