Joe Edward Lee received his honored Purple Heart of Glory on January 1, 2022.
On September 21, 1935 in the piney woods of Jasper, TX, Everett Lee and Beulah Strahan Lee welcomed a beautiful, bouncing, baby boy they named Joe Edward Lee.
Joe E. Lee was the devoted and loving husband of Clara Bell Wilson Lee for a marvelous sixty-three years. He is preceded in death by his parents, and son Iveory Lee.
He leaves to cherish his wonderful legacy; his devoted wife, Clara Bell Wilson Lee; daughters, Gailon Jeanette Slaughter, Glenda Kay McCray (Elton); son, Everett Dan Lee (Rolanda); nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A wake service for Joe will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Mainland Funeral Home, 2711 Texas Ave. La Marque. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January, 11, 2022 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Mainland Funeral Home, 2711 Texas Avenue, La Marque, 77568.
