Joann attended school in the Wilson School district and spent most of her life there after coming to this area as a young girl from Kentucky. She loved just getting out for walks so that she could speak to people she met on the street. You very rarely saw her without a smile - even after Parkinson's started taking control of her ability to do things she loved; working in the garden, going to bingo, just visiting with neighbors, etc. Even though she loved all of the above, there was nothing she loved more than being with family. She took many trips to Kentucky with her sister to visit family and she often talked about how much she missed that after her sickness took control. Her general kindness to all she met was an attribute that you can admire.
Joann Attended Grace Bible Church in Newfane for many years.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hamilton and Clark Funeral Home in Wilson, NY.
A viewing will be held from 4 to 7 on Sunday and funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Monday. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery.
