JoAnn J. Snider, 83, of Savannah died peacefully and entered into her heavenly home Saturday morning at Prosperity Pointe Assisted Living in Knoxville Tennessee. JoAnn's family would like to recognize the excellent and loving care that JoAnn received from Kelly Johnson and her staff at Prosperity Pointe Assisted Living facility during her time in Knoxville. JoAnn was born in Savannah, Georgia on December 2, 1937, the daughter of the late Earnest Joe Jordan and Mattie Lunsford Jordan. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Donald E. Snider, Sr; brother Carl L Jordan, Sr.; and stepmom Maddie Jordan. Survivors include her son Donald E. Snider, Jr. (Marcy), grandchildren Mackenzie and Haley Snider, and nieces and nephews. JoAnn worked as a nurses assistant for 29 years at St. Joseph's Hospital until her retirement in 1997. She was known for serving her patients faithfully and with great care. JoAnn was a devoted member of Radiant Life Christian Fellowship in Savannah and enjoyed the weekly fellowship of her Sunday school class. She loved to cook and was known to bake cakes for her family and special occasions. JoAnn also delighted in drawing (an activity she often did with her granddaughters), watching birds from her window, and animals. Throughout her life, stray dogs and cats would often find a home with JoAnn. She also enjoyed her pet birds and aquariums full of fish. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 17 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Radiant Life Christian Fellowship on Skidaway Road in Savannah Georgia. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, December 18 in Greenwich Cemetery Bonaventure Road . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Radiant Life Christian Fellowship Building.
