JoAnn Moore (nee Pritz) 91, of Destin, Florida (formerly of Marietta, Georgia), passed
away on April 21, 2022. She was born in Joliet, Illinois on September 30, 1930 to
Raymond and Agnes Pritz. She attended Joliet Township High School where she was
active in the theatre department.
JoAnn was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Marietta, Georgia where she was
active in many of the church's events and outreach programs and especially with the
women's Monday School group. Outside of her family, her involvement in her church
was one of her greatest passions, often making quilts and other items for those in need.
During her life, she enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and knitting, creating beautiful baby
blankets for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid gardener
and her yard was always full of beautiful flowers, with her beautiful roses being her most
prized flowers. She enjoyed her many years of traveling the country with her husband
Monk, in their motorhome.
Of all of JoAnn's passions in life, nothing was greater than the love she had for her family.
Her family was her world, from her days as a young mother raising her four children to
enjoying her later years with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was
beloved "Aunt Jo" to over ninety nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
JoAnn leaves behind her four children, Steven (Kim) Moore of Danville, IL; Brian (Debi)
Moore of Okatie, SC; Timothy Moore of San Diego, CA; and, Julie (Andy) Fesefeldt of
Santa Rosa Beach, FL; six grandchildren, Kyle (Corey) Moore, Jason Moore, Nikki (Craig)
Towner, Stevie (Tim) Crawley, Neal (Natalie) Fesefeldt and Erin (Nick) Mitchelli; nine
great-grandchildren, Ryan, Connor and Emily Moore; Addison, Luke and Ben Towner;
Kate, Cooper and Olivia Crawley; four step great-grandchildren, Lauren (John) Allen and
Cole Towner, Owen and Cole Crawley and two step great-great-grandchildren, Rhett and
Link Allen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Shirley Monday, her brother Ken Pritz
her granddaughter Katelyn Rhea Moore and her beloved husband of over 68 years, Monk
Moore.
Visitation and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Holy Trinity
Lutheran Church, 2922 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, Georgia 30066. Visitation will begin
at 1:30 pm until the start of the service at 2:30 pm. Everyone is invited to the reception
following the service at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded with final resting
place next to her husband Monk, at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Columbarium.
