JoAnn Mae Dopson, 93, of Merrimack, NH passed away into the arms of her loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday November 26th, 2022 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, after a brief illness. She was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on March 30, 1929 to the late Thomas and Berniece (Russell) Barber. JoAnn was a longtime member of the First Church of Merrimack and served on the Board of Deaconess and the World Missions Board. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society, and was a former church hand bell choir ringer. She was pre-deceased by her husband Harry Dopson in 2000, her sister Joyce Barber in 2005, and her daughter Sheryl Dopson in 2021. Surviving family members include three sons, Jeffrey Dopson and his wife, Donna, Timothy Dopson and his wife Christine, and Michael Dopson and his wife Rae Ann; 6 grandchildren, Rocco and his wife Jamie, Jonathan and his wife Lisa, Katie, Curtis, Corey and his wife Alesia, James, and Chelsea; 6 great grandchildren, Mitch, Haley, Evelyn, Timmy, Eugene, and Meg; one sibling, Thomas Barber along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH on Friday, December 2nd from 4 - 7 PM. A funeral service will be held at the First Church of Merrimack, 7 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack on Saturday, December 3rd at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Last Rest Cemetery.
