HICKSVILLE, OH: Joan R. Brown, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Parkview Bryan Hospital, Bryan, OH.
Joan was born on November 3, 1961 in Paulding, OH to the late Charles Hanenkratt and Gloria Jean Brown. On December 10, 1983 she married John A. Brown, who survives in Hicksville, OH. Joan worked at Hardee's in Hicksville and Vancrest of Hicksville. Many years ago, Joan also worked at Hoover Lanes in Paulding. She loved reading and learning about the Amish, crossword puzzles, and watching squirrels in her yard.
Along with her husband, Joan is survived by her son, Dustin Brown, Hicksville, OH; brothers: Dana Hanenkratt, Pinellas Park, FL; Brad (Regina) Hanenkratt, Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Shelly (Dietmar) Stamm, Findlay, OH; many loving nieces and nephews.
Joan is also preceded in death by her stepfather, Howard Crampton, Jr. and special aunt, Ramona Adams.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Den Herder Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Paulding Memorial Cemetery, Paulding, OH.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Den Herder Funeral Home. There will also be visitation from 10:00 A.M. until time of services on Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made in Joan's memory to her son, Dustin Brown.
