It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Popham on February 22nd, 2023. Joan was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother who touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Born in Enfield and living in Roydon for the past 45 years, Joan lived her life with passion and dedication to her family. She married her first husband and together they had their children, Terry, Janet and Anne. Joan was a devoted mother who always put her family first. She worked hard to ensure that her children had everything they needed and never hesitated to offer her support and guidance.
In her later years, Joan married Dan Popham and they shared many happy memories together. Sadly Dan passed in 1991, but he was a kind and loving partner who brought joy to Joan's life.
Joan had a special bond with her grandchildren, Simon, Kevin, Robert, and Charlotte. She loved spending time with them and took great pride in watching them grow into successful adults. She always had a kind word of encouragement and was never too busy to lend an ear.
In her later years, Joan was blessed with the arrival of her great grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, always ready with a smile and a hug.
Joan will be remembered for her kind heart, strong will and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
