Joan Lavonne Perlberg (AKA The Chicken Coop Lady) was born Joan Carlson to Henry and Minnie Carlson Sept. 27th 1940. She passed quietly in Crosslake on June 7th 2022 after a short battle with pneumonia. She pioneered the field of country boutiques in the early 70s using a converted chicken coop at their new farm property in Dayton MN. Her love for crafts, crafting, antiques and Walleye fishing continued with her marriage to the love of her life, Dan Perlberg (AKA Charter Dan) in the mid-90s. They lived together in Garrison where she also enjoyed her "Golden Girls" Get togethers. Joan passed just one week after he did. She did not want to be without him. Joan was preceded in death by son Ross Klatke, Her parents & Her sister Nancy Collison (Bob). She is survived by her daughter Tracy Klatke-Anctil (Joe), Her son Kyle Klatke (Amie), Grandchildren Jamie and Connor Klatke, her brother Ed Carlson (Judy) and stepsons Craig Perlberg (Jessi Schultz) and Mark Perlberg (Hemi).
