Joan Regina Organ, 78, received her wings and joined her husband in heaven on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
Born on July 7, 1944 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Richard Beggarly and Margaret Beggarly. Joan was a secretary with the Charles County Board of Education for many years before retiring. Joan enjoyed reading, going to the movies and out to lunch with friends. She loved going to Carolina Beach with family for many years. She was always ready to hop in the car and head to the Casino to play the slot machines. She looked forward to watching the Washington football games every Sunday even when they lost. Joan was known for her banana pudding and rum cakes for the holidays. She liked going on trips or cruises with her husband and friends whenever possible. Joan cherished the time that was spent with her husband, daughters, grandchildren and the rest of her family. Joan was active with her Central High School, Seat Pleasant, Maryland Class of '62 Reunion Committee. She was of the Catholic faith and attended Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Waldorf.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Richard Organ, brother Daniel Beggarly, nephew Danny Beggarly, Jr. and niece Laura Grabill.
Joan is survived by her daughters Jeanette Organ and Jackie Taylor; grandchildren Graham Taylor, Austin Taylor, Savannah Taylor, and Noah Taylor; brothers Rick Beggarly and Jim Beggarly; sisters-in-law Harriett Beggarly and Renee White (Dan); niece Sue Whary (Rick); and nephews Matthew and Nick White.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 4PM until time for services at 7PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
Graveside Service and interment will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 10AM at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, P. O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
