Joan Greene Cochran, 71, of Englewood, TN, went to her heavenly home from her personal home on Monday, April 4, 2022.
She was born in Greeneville, SC, lived many years in Pigeon Forge and moved to Englewood in 2006. She was the owner of Shop the World Gifts until 2019.
She was a member of Englewood United Methodist Church and conducted Fair Trade Ministries throughout churches in
Tennessee and several other states. She volunteered many hours to the Salvation Army and Sevier County Food Ministry.
Preceded in death by parents, Scott and Eva Greene; and sister, Jane Hoyles.
Survived by her husband, Bill Cochran; daughters, Nicole and Michelle Cochran; much loved grandson, William Cochran; very special God daughters, Mary, Sarah and Kalea Hall; sisters, Rowena (Gary) Maples, Judy Greene; special nieces, Tammie (Joe) Sarten, Amanda (Dan) Kross, Eva Kross; along with special nephews, Preston and Logan Kross and many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2022 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. David Graybeal and Rev. Gracie Clark officiating.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service.
Family and friends will assemble at Cochran Cemetery, Friday, April 8th for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Englewood United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 146, Englewood, TN 37329.
