Joan A. Adkins was born in Euclid, Ohio on Feb. 16, 1936. She passed away at her home in Chester, SC on Feb. 17th, 2022 while surrounded by her loving family, the day after her 86th birthday.
She was a fantastic mother, a loving wife, and loved by so many! She always wanted to be the first to mail out her yearly Christmas cards before anyone else. She absolutely loved her job working at Greyhound as a ticket agent and telephone information switchboard operator and she did it proudly for over 25 years. She also worked and retired as a dispatcher for Roto-Rooter. She always said "Good Morning" no matter what time of day or night it was. She liked cross-stitch and word search puzzles but most of all she loved collecting white Fenton Hobnail (estate sale coming soon!-LOL)
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Nate Adkins of the home; her brother, Carl G. Andeen of Euclid, Ohio; 6 children, Victoria Limes, Patricia Mule (husband, Charlie), Thomas C. Davidson (partner, Linda Alexander), Dave A. Davidson (partner, Janice Gesford-deceased), Cynthia K. Bennett (husband, Joe), Michele L. Hall; 8 grand-children, Ernest Tokes, AJ Grose (wife Tausha), Stephen Grose (wife, Christina), Harley Davidson, Shelby Champion, Samantha Champion, Zachey Champion, Michael Adkins (wife, Jessikuh); 7 great-grandchildren, Cayden, Ryan, Kailee, Lily, Brylee, Jayson and Mela.
