In Loving Memory of Jay (November 6, 1981 – Forever in Our Hearts)
Jay was a loving father, devoted partner, doting son & brother, caring friend, and an inspiration to everyone who knew him. Born on November 6, 1981, in the small town of Wankaner in Gujarat, India, Jay carried with him strong values of family, education, friendship, and living life with purpose. From humble beginnings, he built a life defined by hard work, positivity, and a deep love for people.
Jay began his professional journey in India, where he earned his MBBS degree from a medical college in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. His passion for learning and growth led him to move to New York, where he completed his Master's degree, continuing to build the foundation for a successful career. He went on to work at Johnson & Johnson, where he served as a Senior Manager for over 15 years. He was respected for his dedication, leadership, and integrity, and he built lasting friendships with colleagues along the way.
While Jay was accomplished professionally, his greatest pride and joy was being a father. His children, who lovingly called him Dadu, were the center of his world. He believed strongly in raising active, confident, and well-rounded kids. He encouraged them to try different sports, stay active, and build confidence through teamwork and discipline. He especially loved coaching and teaching tackle football and served as a parent coach with the Horsham Hawks, where he mentored not only his own children but many other young athletes.
Jay was a lifelong sports enthusiast. He was a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and rarely missed a chance to cheer for his favorite team. He also developed a deep love for golf. He enjoyed playing with his friends and was always working to improve his game. Golf became one of his favorite ways to relax, connect with friends, and teach patience and perseverance to his children as he began sharing the game with them as well.
Jay had a deep love for travel and adventure. He enjoyed researching destinations, planning trips sometimes a year in advance, and finding unique places around the world to explore. Some of his happiest moments were spent at beach destinations with his loved ones — relaxing by the ocean, feeling the breeze, and enjoying peaceful walks along the shoreline. His dream for retirement was simple and joyful: to travel the world, play golf with friends, and live a relaxed, happy life surrounded by the people he loved.
Known for his warm and social personality, Jay loved bringing people together. He was an exceptional host who enjoyed organizing gatherings, hosting parties, and making drinks for friends and family. He believed life should be celebrated through laughter, good conversations, travel, friendships, and shared experiences. Wherever he lived, whether in India or the United States, he built a wide circle of friends who valued his positivity, generosity, and genuine nature.
Jay believed deeply in living life fully. He believed in working hard, earning well, but also enjoying what you earn. He believed in staying healthy, staying happy, and making memories while you can. His positive outlook, friendly nature, and ability to make people feel welcome will always be remembered.
To some, he was Jay, to some Patu, Jayu, Jayu bhai, Jay babu, Jitu, Jitu bhai, and many more, but to his children, he was their Dadu — their hero, their teacher, and their biggest supporter. His love, values, and lessons will continue to live on through them and through everyone whose life he touched.
Jay’s legacy is one of love, friendship, strength, joy, and living life with intention.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.
